The company

Humpty Doo Barramundi Farm grows high quality, salt water barramundi in the pristine tidal waters of the Adelaide River, 80km south of Darwin in Australia’s Northern Territory.

Our premium product is enjoyed at some of Australia’s most prestigious restaurants, and has featured on ABC television‘s The Cook and the Chef (Feb 2008) and in Table magazine (Nov 2007).

The company is owned and operated by local families. Established in 1993, we have been supplying quality fresh fish to Australian and overseas markets for many years.

We are a knowledge-based organisation. Owner and managing director Bob Richards received the Churchill Fellowship Award in 2002 to continue the company’s research into the sustainable production of quality aquaculture product. We are currently hosting an Industry Cooperative Innovation Project to improve efficiency and sustainability in the industry.
